Abounding with contrasts and unexplored landscapes, with a rich 3000-
Year-old history, this is a region where you will find Croatia`s largest natural
lake – Lake Vransko; sandy, lagoon-type beaches in the Nin region; the
highest cliffs on the Adriatic, and the Cerovačke caves. The whole region,
together with its surrounding area, contains five National Parks as well as
three Nature Parks, of which the Velebit Park was declared a World
Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 1978. The coastal belt of the Velebit
Channel, over the Nin Lagoon to Biograd, encompasses the hundreds of
