Dugi otok - The Island of Dugi otok has one of the biggest and the most secure natural harbours in the Adriatic, as well as being the site of the Telaščica Nature Park and the imposing Veli Rat lighthouse. The cliffs, rising to a height of 160 metres and extending for some ten kilometres along the seaward side of the island, are particulary impressive.
The most attractive event in Summer in Salu, connected with the religious feast of Assumption Day (15 August). Another traditional manifestation held in Sali is «Saljske užance», a performance representing the rich folklore tradition and which attracts many yachts, both large and small. Part of the manifestation includes the light-hearted «Trka tovarev» (Donkey Race). Another attraction is «Tovareća mužika», a type of music played with original, autochthonous instruments.
