The Kaštel Riviera, situated between Trogir and Split, has been a prominent tourist destination for more than a century. There are seven fortresses built along the shores of Kaštelanski Bay which today represent separate towns entities. Even back in the 19th century, eminent, well-known guests spent their vacations in Kaštel`s villas. Each of the seven villages has a rich cultural heritage, offering a harmonious picture of their magnificent past, further preserved in the remains of nearby Salona, and the fortress of Klis.
