The Island of Hvar
It is hard to describe what makes the Island of Hvar more splendourus – its present, offering a warm welcome to every guest, or its past, which emanates from its every pore. This is an island renowned for its particulary mild climate. The romantic rows of the Pakleni Islands are positioned in front of the entrance to the island`s biggest post. Just like nature, history has also left its mark on the island down the centuries, leaving its inhabitants and guests a legacy of various artistic works, the most secret evidence of creation is to be found in the churches and museums, and in the facades of houses. In the intoxicating fragrance and purple blush of lavander fields, in the grapes which soak up the suns rays that transform them into the finest wines. The Island of Hvar remains a living symbol of a nurtured and well-organised tourist tradition, already spanning a period of more than a hundred and fifty years.
